The whole thing turns into a brawl between Fujii and Kuroda. They hit each other with lariats. Ichikawa tries to get back in the game by making his presence known on the microphone, but Fujii and Kuroda ignore him. No closing bell ever happens, but Fujii vs. Kuroda and Ichikawa vs. Yuji Nagata are both made official by Ichikawa’s complaining on the microphone. A few days later Ichikawa tricks Nagata into the match by asking him for an autograph and then revealing he really signed a match contract. Stalker is a clever sucker.

K-ness hits Muscle with the Shouryuukyaku. Kanda hits a German suplex for 2. I thought that was it. Kanda hits the flying elbowdrop for the win at 5:49 shown of 8:46. I wasn’t expecting anything out of this, but Kanda’s intensity made it a hell of a little match.
Rating: ***

After the match Horiguchi mists Kanda and hits him with the Beach Break. A few days later Kanda weighed in for the match and came in at the proper weight. Horiguchi didn’t believe it and demanded Kanda weigh himself again. With Kanda distracted, Horiguchi grabbed the scale and smacked his future Brave Gate opponent with it.

Honestly I expected nothing out of this match, but they turned CIMA and Gamma’s hatred for each other into an interesting dimension in a match that was complex to begin with. I love it.

After the match Liger says he will select CIMA’s Dream Key opponent on 6/10 the night of the show. It was supposed to be Jado, but he was injured. An announcement reveals that Gamma will also be involved in the match against the mystery opponent.

CIMA {T} vs. Jushin Liger {CTU} vs. Gamma {MO}
I’d be willing to bet that if Gedo wasn’t busy dropping the ball against Koji Kanemoto in the Best of the Super Juniors Tournament on this night it would be him wrestling CIMA here. Liger says that he picked himself because he’s from Hakata, where the match is taking place. Everyone betrays everyone else to start. Liger takes over with clotheslines. Gamma doesn’t like that, so he takes over with a chair. Liger hits a senton on Gamma. He and CIMA gang up on Gamma. Liger puts on the Romero Special. They hit the double Tokarev. CIMA hits the Schwein, but he and Gamma fight over who gets to pin Liger. CIMA hits Gamma with a low blow. Horiguchi trips CIMA. He powders Gamma by mistake. CIMA hits the Crossfire for 2. Liger hits the Ligerbomb for 2. He hits Gamma with a brainbuster for 2 when Kinta attacks Referee Ohya. Gamma canes Liger while Kinta takes over as referee. Kinta low blows CIMA and Gamma gets a roll up for the win at 8:54 shown of 12:11. They found creative ways to keep all three guys in the ring at the same time while making sure they were all at odds with one another. Near the end however there was far too much gaga for this to be great. Gamma has now officially entrenched himself in the Dream Gate chase. He and CIMA will face each other for the Dream Key.

He hits the Gamma Special for 2 when Anthony W. Mori attacks everyone with a cane. Muscle Gang stops Mori, but then hits Gamma with an errant avalanche. CIMA gets the Jorge Clutch for the win and the Dream Key at 9:39 shown of 13:24. This was overbooked as hell, but there was a method to all the madness as in the end Gamma’s crap was all used against him in the biggest match of his career. This was a lot of fun.

Kong and Takagi swing Saito and Doi around the ring. Yoshino and Kid follow Doi and Saito to the floor with suicide dives. I honestly can’t follow all this action. Everyone dives onto everyone on the floor. Even Kong gets in on the action. Takagi hits Saito with a gutbuster and a DDT. Kishiwada hits Takagi with a senton. He powerbombs Saito onto Takagi. Saito hits Takagi with a head scissors takedown. Hulk dropkicks Saito. He hits Kishiwada with the Mouse. Kid, Yoshino and Hulk put Takagi, Saito and Kishiwada in the Christo, From Jungle and whatever Hulk calls his submission, respectively. The remaining wrestlers put an end to that. Doi and Yokosuka hit Kong with a double back suplex. Kong hits Yokosuka with a German suplex. After a Yokosuka clothesline Doi hits Kong with the Doi 555. Doi hits Yokosuka with a Rydeen Bomb for 2. I can’t imagine the extra eight minutes would have enhanced this match at all. A little goofiness I didn’t like at the beginning doesn’t come close to soiling what has got to be one of the best spot-fests I’ve ever seen.
Rating: ****½

The win gives the Muscle Outlaw’z a shot at New Hazard’s Triangle Gate belts in Kobe on PPV. And speaking of the PPV, back on June 10th Typhoon won another of these 9-man tags when Yokosuka scored the winning pin. He used that as an opportunity to challenge Gedo and Jado for the I-J Tag Team Championships in Kobe with Saito as his partner, assuming that Jado would be back in action by then. Jado responded by taking out Saito and Yokosuka from behind. So the PPV looks like this…

-Akira Tozawa & Taku Iwasa vs. YAMATO & Jack Evans
-Don Fujii vs. Tetsuhiro Kuroda
-Gamma & Kinta Tamaoka vs. Dragon Kid & Anthony W. Mori
-Yuji Nagata vs. Stalker Ichikawa
-Genki Horiguchi vs. Yasushi Kanda
-Gedo & Jado vs. Ryo Saito & Susumu Yokosuka
-Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Koji Kanemoto
-Shingo Takagi, Cyber Kong & BxB Hulk vs. Magnitude Kishiwada & Speed Muscle
-CIMA vs. Jushin Liger

It’s the biggest show of the year! Don’t miss it! The show ends by showing YAMATO pinning Super Shelong on June 16th in a match that also included Kanda and Jack Evans. After the match Horiguchi attacked Yasushi Kanda, busting him open. President Okamura got involved, so Horiguchi attacked him as well.
