The Doi Darts have been running roughshod in Dragon Gate. They have a stranglehold on the Triangle Gate belts and Naoki Tanisaki has stolen Rich Swann’s Owarai Gate belt. But in a non-title match on December 20th the Darts were beaten by Kenichiro Arai, Taku Iwasa & K-ness. The Darts then defended their titles against Gamma, Shingo Takagi and Super Shenlong on January 8th. In that match Gamma dropped Tanisaki on his shoulder, injuring him. It was feared that Tanisaki would be out for a very long time, putting the Darts in jeopardy for their title match against Iwasa, Arai ad K-ness. Kzy and Doi though assure everyone that Tanisaki will be there.

Naruki Doi © {BW}, Kzy © {BW} & “Naoki Tanisaki” © {BW} vs. Kenichiro Arai, Taku Iwasa & K-ness [Open the Triangle Gate Championship Match]
Tanisaki is actually Tomahawk TT dressed up to look almost exactly like Tanisaki, with his gear, arm in a sling and shoulder tattoo. Arai is furious. TT looks a million times less stupid as Tanisaki than he did in his TT gear. He throws off his sling and says he’s fine to wrestle. Everyone brawls to start. “Tanisaki” and Doi hit a double back elbow on K-ness for 2. “Tanisaki” hits a facebuster. He hits two more for 2. Kzy hits a low blow. K-ness hits Doi with an enziguiri. K-ness goes for the Darkness uster but Kzy starts leveling everything in site with plunder, drawing a disqualification at 10:10 shown of 14:19. Good match until the crappy finish, with TT doing well as Tanisaki and Kzy and the babyfaces wrestling their asses off.
Rating: ***¼

After the match Kzy tosses Referee Yagi to the floor. Yagi gets on the microphone and strips the Darts of the titles in light of the cheating and TT blatantly not being Tanisaki. Doi and Tanisaki argue after the fact. They better get it together before their upcoming Loser Leaves Unit match in a few days.

Super Shenong & Kotoka vs. Eita Kobayashi & Yosuke Watanabe saw the rookies finally wearing regular gear. They hit Kotoka with consecutive moonsaults for the win.

Don Fujii vs. Chihiro Tominaga saw Tominaga put up a fight, but eventually fall to the HIMEI. After the match Shenlong came out and attacked Tominaga. He berates Tominaga on the microphone. Tominaga puts him in the cross armbreaker, getting a nice pop. Fujii books a match between the two for February 9th.

Masaaki Mochizuki {J3} & Cyber Kong vs. Masato Yoshino {J3} & Gamma {J3} ended when Yoshino made Kong tap to the Sol Naciente. After the match Yoshino finally accepts Cyber Kong as an ally, shaking his hand.

The finish was a little much, but the rest of the match was absolutely insane stuff. I’ve tended to find matches that go thirty minutes before a double-cross annoying, but in this case I’m fine with it because the Blood Warriors do take pleasure in beating up Junction Three just as much as they would in beating up CIMA. This is our first real match of the year candidate, and I hope the rest of the year keeps up this kind of energy.
Rating: ****¼

The Warriors keep attacking CIMA after the match until Don Fujii makes the save. He carries CIMA to the back. Tozawa says they don’t need or want CIMA in the group and they’ll bring the Dream Gate title back into the Blood Warriors. Horiguchi asks Tozawa what he thinks he’s doing. Tozawa hits him with a bicycle kick and spits at him. Saito runs to Horiguchi’s aid. Mochizuki has words for Tozawa and Kong. Tozawa grows impatient and suggests that the feud come to an end next month in a fourteen-man tag losing group disbands match. Mochizuki agrees. YAMATO and Takagi confront Kong. Kong responds by making the loser disbands match a Yoshida Style Elimination Match, his namesake.

The show ends with a Blood Warriors backstage promo, establishing Tozawa as the leader of the group.
